CSI KEEPS BLURRING THE LINE BETWEEN FICTION AND REALITY

Another day, another debauched celebrity entangled in a drug scandal. Gary Dourdan, star of hit TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, was arrested on Monday in Palm Springs for allegedly possessing a cocktail of prescription and illegal drugs. It’s claimed Dourdan was carrying heroin, cocaine and ecstasy. The soon-to-be former CSI actor, 41, was reportedly found fast asleep in his car at 5.12am, celebrity news website TMZ claims. The fuzz in Palm Springs says Dourdan was busted after an officer approached his car, which was parked on the wrong side of the road at the time. A search of the car unearthed a stash of drugs, including several as yet unidentified prescription drugs, and drug paraphernalia, police say. TMZ reports that as the police officer approached the actor’s car, he spotted that his interior light was on, and Dourdan appeared to be asleep behind the wheel. The arresting officer described Dourdan as "disorientated" and appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The actor was whisked off to jail and incarcerated until the following morning. He’s now out on $5,000 bail. Dourdan announced last month that he was planning to bail form his role as pill-popping Warrick Brown in the sleuthing show.
