Prosecution Against Poker Stops in Sweden

Reports from the Gaming Intelligence Group have indicated that cases against media companies publishing online poker ads have come to a stop in Sweden. The Swedish Prosecution Authority sent out the order, which is counter to the actions from earlier in the year, when it appeared that the country was gearing up to take on these media outlets. The thinking is that Sweden is bowing to pressure from the European Commission, which has spoken against the practice, stating that it is against the free trade agreements of the EU.
